16 Colour Types
Hi Style Academy works with 16 colour types, which include the basic categories: spring, summer, winter, and autumn, along with additional colour types. This approach makes the colour advice more refined and personal. Many people, for example, fall between the winter and summer types, meaning winter colours may be too harsh, while summer colours may appear too soft. With the right nuances, you’ll see a much better fit. You’ll also learn which fabrics (shiny or matte, solid or patterned) complement your appearance. You can apply these tips to your clothing, accessories, makeup, and even your hair colour. Plus, it saves you from buying the wrong items.

Colour Analysis: 1.5 hours
One of the great things about a colour consultation is that the shades within your colour type mix and match beautifully. This means you’ll need fewer clothes to create stylish outfits. Of course, you’ll have a few favourites, but you’ll soon see that there are many more possibilities! Whether you’re shopping in-store or online, your personalised colour card will guide you in making the best choices.
A colour analysis takes about an hour and a half and can be done at the studio in Rotterdam, at your home, or at your workplace. You can book an appointment just for yourself or with a group. And of course, both women and men are more than welcome.
The Colour Analysis Academy is experienced in working with all nationalities. While the basic principles remain the same, there are subtle differences between, for example, Scandinavian, Brazilian, and Indian individuals, just as not all Asians fall into the same colour type. The same goes for women and men from Eastern Europe. This applies to a wide range of factors, including colour diversity, personality, and style.

After the colour analysis, you’ll receive a colour card in a protective sleeve. This is perfect to take with you when shopping, helping you avoid bad purchases. It’s great for both your wallet and the environment. You can place the card on fabric or next to makeup to instantly see whether you’re choosing the right colours. During the consultation, I’ll also explain and demonstrate which colour combinations work best for you. You’ll get clothing advice based on your height, body shape, and face shape. You’ll learn which combinations, lengths, fabrics, and fits suit you best. Whether or not clothing looks good on you isn’t random—there’s always a reason behind it! Once you understand this, you can shop more purposefully and choose items that truly flatter you.
Of course, you’ll also receive tips on creating great outfit combinations, what to look for while shopping, and which brands suit you best.
